Salem has been part of Cheltenham life since 1846. During that time we've moved around a bit and have just moved into new purpose-built premises. God has been good to us over the years and we have worked to maintain our evangelical witness to the gospel in both words and deeds.
We are a mix of people of varying ages. We have a number of families and take our children seriously, both during the service and in their own groups. We also have members in their 90s, so we can say we cover all bases!
In our worship we use both new songs and old hymns. Our rule of thumb is "does it glorify God?". We aim for vibrant services where we know we have met God and are touched by his Spirit.
